Popular American Singer / Musician, Prince, was invited to star in the recording of this song amongst 40 other famous celebrities like Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner and Diana Ross. However, he rejected the offer and his refusal in taking part is still unknown although some say that his "reported-but-always-denied rivalry with Jackson played a part".

It was said by Michael Jackson in an interview that he was most proud of this song amongst all the other songs that he had created and I can truly understand why. The lyrics are so meaningful and it always brings tears to my eyes whenever I listen to it.

The song was not originally sung by Josh Groban! He only popularised it a year after it was composed and performed by the Norwegian-Irish band called Secret Garden back in 2002. Irish boy band, Westlife, went on to further make it more popular 2 years later.
